
St Francis Xavier’s Church Kidima under Diocese of Kohima has observed Epiphany/ Magi with rest of the world with Rev. Fr. Joy from Don Bosco University, Guwahati, Assam, as the main celebrant on January 4.
The Epiphany/ Magi is observed to mark the visit of the three wise men from the east who came to Jerusalem asking for the child (Jesus Christ) – the born king of the Jews. The wise men or Magi knelt down and paid homage to Jesus – new born baby and offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
Rev. Fr. Sojan, Bishop’s House, Kohima, has informed that Nagaland Catholic Youth Movement would celebrate its silver jubilee at Cathedral Kohima from January 8 to 11.
On January 11, Eucharist celebration would preside by Rev. Dr. James Thoppil, Bishop of Kohima Diocese. In this regard, all youth are invited to participate in the jubilee celebration.
