Stage arrangement workshop at Fazl Ali College

DIMAPUR

Eco Club, Creative Arts Club, and Fine Arts Club of Fazl Ali College (FAC) jointly organised a Stage Arrangement Workshop on September 6 at the college premises under the theme “Celebrating Nature with Creativity”.
According to a press release issued by FAC, resource persons Tutu Jamir and Nungshijungla led the sessions, highlighting that stage decoration involves more than floral aesthetics. They stressed the importance of teamwork, sustainability, and environmental responsibility in stage design.
Key components discussed during the workshop included backdrop planning, lighting, furniture placement, theme selection, and colour coordination, along with technical aspects such as electrical access for sound, lighting, and screen setup.
Participants were introduced to principles of floral decoration such as balance, proportion, rhythm, harmony, and unity. The trainers also explained the five elements of floral design—line, colour, form, space, and texture—and the 3–5–8 rule involving three types of flowers, five stems of greenery, and eight stems of filler flowers. The workshop featured live demonstrations on foam folding, net cutting, use of floral tapes, and arrangement techniques.
