After a state membership workshop in Dimapur on June 22, BJP Nagaland Unit conducted Membership Drive Workshops (MDW) in districts along with rest of the country, from June 26 to 29, as per the national schedule to hold district workshops during the period from June 24 to 30.
A press release from state general secretary and co-incharge, state membership drive, BJP, Nagaland, Jaangsillung Gonmei, stated that the message that was delivered in all workshops were for mandal membership committees to set up minimum 25 member booth committees and hold in charge and co-in charge workshops before July 5. The workshop also addressed party workers and intensive membership enrolment drive would be launched nationwide on July 6.
All the participants were briefed on the process of enrolling members. After July 6, any member can give a missed call to 8980808080, to enrol into the party. While doing so, they shall be assisted by membership committee members and party workers in filling up membership enrolment form with basic information of the enrolling members.
Primary enrolment would last for one month followed by active membership enrolment for one month in August. The membership committee has appealed to all party workers and people to come forth for the enrolment after the launch on July 6.
Meanwhile, BJP, Zunheboto district, conducted an official tour to all assembly constituencies under Zunheboto district to access overall performances of mandal offices and to address its functionaries.
A press release by general secretary, BJP Zunheboto district unit, Yewoto Kiba, stated that BJP full time worker, Aliba Sangtam, joined the touring team and on his speeches, emphasized mostly on party organizational matters and cautioned that there might be reshuffles in places where mandal activities were weak. He further encouraged mandal presidents to work hard.
The tour began from 33-A/C Zbto, and ended at 36A/C Satakha.
Meanwhile, workshop on “Sangathan Parv” membership drive was conducted on June 28 at the district party office.
