State BJP flays attack on Christian institutions

Nagaland State BJP unit has condemned and also expressed deep concern over the recent attacks on Churches and Christian institutions in the national capital, Delhi.
In a press release, state BJP unit general secretary and spokesman, K. James Vizo said during the meeting Wednesday at the party office, Dimapur, the house appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for coming out unequivocally against the recent attacks and controversial utterances by right-wing fringe elements and the assurance made by PM to all religions (majority/minority) for complete freedom of faith, to retain/adopt religion of his or her choice.
Stating that the party “believes in the Constitution of India and the principles of socialism, secularism and democracy”, the spokesman said such attacks on minorities in the name of religion has no place in a Secular country like India.
Meanwhile, the state BJP unit also appealed to the people of Chang and Yimchungrü tribes in Tuensang “to resolve the dispute amicably and restore peace and harmony in a true Christian spirit”.
The BJP unit further congratulated Assam BJP for the landslide victory in the recently concluded municipal election.
