State braces for heavy rainfall; DDMAs directed to stay alert

DIMAPUR, JUJ 1 (NPN)

According to an official order issued by commissioner & secretary (NSDMA), Lhouchaline Viya, there is an increased risk of flash floods in watersheds and neighborhoods located in low-lying regions. The government has cautioned that surface runoff and inundation may occur in some fully saturated areas.

In case of any emergency, the public may contact the State Emergency Operations Centre through the following helplines: 1070 (Toll-Free), 112 (ERSS extension for Disaster Management) and 0370-2291120/22.
