Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) Nagaland, I. Meyionen Jamir along with the two State Information Commissioners (SICs), Nosazol Charles, and T. Kekongchim Yimkhiung made a courtesy call on Governor, La. Ganesan Friday at Raj Bhavan, Kohima.
According to a DIPR report, during the meeting, the commissioners congratulated the Governor on his recent appointment and shared the working system and functioning of the commission and the effective implementation of the Right To Information (RTI) Act in the state.
During the meeting, the Governor assured to extend his help both in the state and even at the Centre to strengthen the Act.
The meeting also discussed the issue of misuse of the RTI Act both by the information seekers, as well as public authorities.
Grievances faced by the commission were also highlighted to the Governor in the meeting.
