Nagaland’s COVID-19 tally crossed the 1000-mark after 33 fresh cases were reported from across the state on Monday.
In a tweet, State Health & Family Welfare minister, S. Pangnyu Phom said the fresh cases were detected out of 454 samples that were tested. He said 16 cases were reported from Dimapur, 12 from Mon and 5 from Kohima. With this the state’s tally rose to 1021– 537 active and 484 recovered cases.
According to state Health department’s bulletin, one of the patient was in critical condition and admitted to ICU with ventilator while 533 cases were asymptomatic, 2 with mild symptoms and 1 with moderate symptom.
As per distribution of cases by domicile district, Peren district has so far reported the highest number of cases at 324, followed by Dimapur- 304, Kohima- 126, Mon- 120, Tuensang- 49, Phek- 18, Wokha- 11, Mokokchung and Zunheboto- 7 each, Longleng- 5, Kiphire- 4 and others- 46.
According to reports, security personnel comprise more than 20 per cent of the total number of cases in the state. As on July 20, the recovery rate in the state stood at 47.40%.
