A cleanliness drive commemorating “Earth Day 2018” was undertaken at Dzulekei valley by officers and staff of principal chief conservator of forest, Nagaland led by the PCCF & HoFF I. Panger Jamir on April 21.
A press release by CCF, publicity and training, Temjenyabang stated that Dzulekei valley, was a popular tourist spot interspersed with a number of sites meant for picnickers and tourists. Working in tandem with the theme “End Plastic Pollution”, the officers and the staff cleaned the area of waste plastics and bottles in a short drive during which the PCCF & HoFF reiterated the need to maintain the clean environment of Dzulekei and other such areas. He spoke on responsible tourism and also said that maintaining the pristine nature of the valley was not only the responsibility of the land owners but also of the visitors as well.
