State gets Rs 11.92 crore from NEC in Sep

DIMAPUR, OCT 6 (NPN): Nagaland received Rs 11.92 crore from the North Eastern Council (NEC) in September 2026 for development initiatives, including Cluster-Based Coffee Value Chain Development and a Cultural Activity Complex at Pfutseromi village for the Chakhesang tribe.
The allocation was part of Rs 42.63 crore released by NEC during the month for projects across the North Eastern region. Of this, Rs 35.21 crore was allocated to the eight northeastern states, while Rs 7.42 crore went to regional institutions and agencies for capacity building, infrastructure and technology.
NEC also recorded completion and closure of two Nagaland projects: the Development of Music and Youth Activity Centre at Yasogei, Kohima, sanctioned at Rs 9.17 crore, and the Construction of Auditorium and Basic Amenities at Phek Government High School, costing Rs 1.92 crore.
Across the region, 14 major infrastructure projects worth Rs 45.48 crore were completed and closed during September.
