State gets Rs. 578 cr in tax devolution

Centre has released tax devolution of Rs.1,01,603 crore to state governments, as one advance instalment of tax devolution. As per the state-wise breakup of amount released, Nagaland has received Rs.578 crore. Meanwhile, in a social media post, state chief minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio expressed gratitude to the PM Modi and Finance Ministry for releasing Rs.1,01,603 crore as an advance instalment of tax devolution to State Govts. “This timely support will greatly aid development, welfare, and capital expenditure in Nagaland and across the nation,” Rio stated.
