State government has ordered extension of the existing lockdown measures from to October 1-31, 2021 in the State with further relaxations and re-opening of more activities after the High Powered Committee (HPC) on COVID-19 reviewed the situation on September 28, 2021 and decided to re-open more activities while continuing to focus on testing, vaccination and maintenance of COVID-19 appropriate behaviour (CAB).
In an order, state chief secretary J Alam stated that overall COVID-19 situation in the State had remained under control with the positivity rate in the State being less than 5% for the last two weeks.
Among others, the government has allowed operation of scheduled helicopter services upto 100% occupancy subject to the pilot(s) being fully vaccinated and the passenger (s) also being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or having taken the first dose of vaccination against COVID-19. However, if none of the two criteria regarding vaccination was fulfilled by the passenger(s), then the passengers should carry a COVID-19 negative test report taken through either RT-PCR/TrueNat or CBNAAT with the Swab taken for testing and not earlier than 72 hours from the date of travel; and further subject to adherence to CAB and observance of all the relevant SOPS.
Further, the government has asked the District Task Force (DTF) to consider imposing stricter measures or rolling back certain relaxations in specified areas in the district, if an exceptional situation arises, and the DTF was satisfied that such measures were necessary under intimation to the government.
