In a significant development and responding to the ten-day ultimatum issued by the Public Action Committee (PAC) of Naga Council Dimapur, the Municipal Affairs Department (MAD) of the state, has cancelled the December 10,2019 order on “Lease System”.
The cancellation of DMC “Lease System” comes into effect from February 1,2020 stated a notification issued by principal secretary Municipal Affairs Department, I. Himato Zhimomi.
The notification also directed the Administrator of DMC to ensure that all DMC toll taxes and Urban Utility fees are collected by DMC with its existing staff and to strictly adhere to the government approved rates.
