State govt notifies on service termination

Consequent upon the cancellation of the Indigenous inhabitant certificate, Schedule Tribe and Backward Tribe certificate of one Lunghilang Pamai on June 13 last, the state government through a notification on July 21, terminated the service of Pamai as secretariat assistant who reportedly belonged to Manipur state.
In this regard, the state government has written to the NPSC to recommend another candidate in lieu of Pamai from the waiting list under BT Zeliang maintained by the commission for appointment to the said post.
It may be recalled that a complaint was lodged by Zeliang Peoples’ Organization Nagaland (ZPO-N) against issuance of Scheduled Tribe Certificate, Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate and Backward Tribe Certificate to two persons from Manipur in the name of Zeliang tribe.
In the compliant to Commissioner Nagaland on July 26, 2016, ZPO (N) pointed out the issuance of certificates to two persons– K. Rangsobe, s/o Peining and Mr. Lunghilang Pamai s/o Ramlan from Manipur, who appeared the NPSC Exam 2016 vice No. 15424 and No. 15663 respectively in the name of Zeliang tribe.
