State Level Log Cutting competition on the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Celebration & IEC Campaign for DhartiAabaJanjatiya Gram UtkarshAbhiyan (DA-JGUA) was held on December 7, 2024 during 25th Hornbill Festival at the NSF Solidarity Park, Kohima.
The competition was funded by the Minister of Tribal Affairs and organised by Tribal Research Institute Nagaland under the Department of Tribal Affairs, Nagaland. All 16 tribes of Nagaland participated with one participant from each tribe.
Rhavi Rume (Chakhesang tribe) emerged as the champion while Ruokuohetuo Rulho (Angami tribe) and YhunsinlonLorin (Rengma tribe) finished as 1st and 2nd runners-up respectively.
