Nagaland state observed the Indian Constitution Day on November 28 at the Nagaland civil secretariat conference hall, Kohima.
According to DIPR report, chief secretary Pankaj Kumar chairing the programme said that the country was observing the Constitution Day from 2015 on November 26 every year on the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar who had played an important role in the framing of Indian Constitution as convenor. chief secretary led the reading of the preamble of the Indian constitution.
Meanwhile, officers, staff and DBs of deputy commissioner’s office Kohima observed the day at DC conference hall, Kohima.
DC Kohima, Rovilatuo Mor stated that the constitution was a core legal document which listed out fundamental rights of citizens, their duties, role of government, interaction between the government and its citizens, power of prime minister, president, governor, chief minister and all members.
He also led in reading the pledge of the constitution of India.
