State warehouse of Directorate of Health and Family Welfare (DH&FW) was inaugurated by principal director, Dr. Vizolie Z. Suokhrie on January 30.
A press release by IEC bureau, DH&FW, stated that mission director, NHM, Dr. Kevichusa Medikhru, stated that the ware house had been completed in three months and applauded all officials for dedication and workmanship to complete it. The state warehouse was constructed under initiative of Nagaland Health Project (NHP), committed to improve storage facilities in state and district level.
The warehouse has 8 turbo vent installed for ventilation and proper circulation of air to avoid damping, and one level of mezzanine floor available which increases storage area by 2304 square feet. The warehouse will help health department by providing sufficient storage space for medical supplies and function as a central depot.
The project will also procure and install heavy duty palletise racking system and forklifts for the warehouse.
