Status report on flood affected areas

Flash floods caused by heavy downpour on July 19, 2017, has severely affected several places in Dimapur and adjoining areas. 
Besides submerging several houses and rendering many homeless, crops and properties have also been damaged.
In the wake of widespread destruction by flood, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Dimapur district undertook assessment and come out with the report of affected areas as of July 21 (see table).
Meanwhile, according to DIPR report, the backup team of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) from Wokha, Phek and Mokokchung numbering 49 of them and 35 personnel from 12 Bn National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) reached Dimapur Thursday evening. DC Dimapur, Kesonyu Yhome, has called upon all the officers and DDMA Dimapur district to remain vigilant.
