STC Dimapur conducts self-defence training for women

A Women Empowerment Programme, featuring self-defence training, was successfully organised at the Sports Training Centre (STC), Dimapur under the FIT India initiative on April 18.
The programme was conducted by the Sports Authority of India in collaboration with the Department of Youth Resources & Sports (DYRS) and the Dimapur District Pencak Silat Association. Around 120 participants, along with staff and coaches, took part in the event.
The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation and aimed to promote awareness on women empowerment, boost self-confidence, and highlight the importance of physical fitness and self-defence among women.
Officials present at the programme lauded the active involvement of participants and underscored the significance of such initiatives in fostering a stronger and more confident society.
The programme concluded on a positive note, receiving encouraging feedback from participants.
