STF and AR conduct security drill

A security drill was jointly carried out by Special Task Force (STF) of Nagaland Police’ and Assam Rifles (AR) in Dimapur on August 27. 

According to PIB (Defence wing), the exercise was aimed at achieving synchronisation of actions by all stakeholders for security and disaster relief contingencies.

The forces participating in the exercise discussed nuances of carrying out different types of operations in coordinated manner. It included establishing of check posts, carrying out area domination, real time intelligence sharing and providing aid during emergencies and natural calamities. The exercise facilitated understanding capabilities of each force thereby enabling formulation of best practices to deal with these incidents.

On culmination of the event, participants expressed satisfaction with the level of coordination achieved and lessons learnt during the exercise.
