STKK annual conference concludes

Five-day long, Suruhoto Tokukujo Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (STKK) 56th annual conference held under the theme, “akukuxu tiqheli (competitive era)” concluded on January 16.
Assistant director rural development, H. Khehovi Yepthomi graced the valedictory as guest of honor.
He urged the students to properly utilize their time so that they could become transformers in the society.   
Referring on the theme of the conference, Khehovi said, “we cannot compete with others unless we change and equip ourselves with what would qualify us to compete with others in this era of competition”. He reminded the students that certificates and degrees alone would not help them to compete and attain success, until and unless they possess proper knowledge and education.
While pointing out that the love of easy money was encouraging corruption in the Naga society, he urged the students to join hands in eradicating corruption.
He further challenged the students to contribute their ideas and wisdom in building a strong and progressive society for Naga people.
Khehovi Yepthomi also announced academic excellence award of Rs. 50,000 to any student from Suruhoto Range, who pass HSLC or HSSLC on top ten lists in the next three years.     
Earlier, guest of honour was accorded a warm reception by the students and the host village.
Concluding day of the conference witnessed various cultural activities and bonfire. More than a 700 students attended the conference.
