Stone pillars, Lijaba monument erected at Akhoya village

Seven stone pillars erected at Keyimeta Park, Akhoya Village, to mark the commemorative place of Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) 69th General Conference held at Akhoya Village on January 2023, was inaugurated by commissioner and secretary, Anenla T. Sato on Friday.


The seven pillars representing AKM and six ranges of Ao country in Mokokchung district were inaugurated in the presence of AKM leaders, Akhoya village council members, Akhoya students’ union, women group, church leaders and members of the AKM Local Planning Committee.
Another monument of Lijaba, believed to be “creator of earth”, was also set up in a place where the “creator of earth” stayed with two sisters in Akhoya village. The monument was inaugurated during the AKM 69th General Conference at Akhoya by minister, G. Kaito Aye.
