Streetlights installed in Tzulumang Ward under MTC

DIMAPUR: Streetlights have been installed across Tzulumang Ward 4 under Mangkolemba Town Council, bringing the area under proper street lighting for the first time in more than a decade.
According to a press release, the installation was overseen by Tzulumang Ward 4 councillor Limasenla Jamir on June 13 as part of efforts to improve public safety and community welfare.
Residents welcomed the initiative, stating that it would enhance visibility, improve security and make it safer for people to move around at night.
Limasenla, one of the youngest elected councillors in Mokokchung district and currently the secretary and sanitation in-charge of the Mangkolemba Town Council, said street lighting was an essential public service that contributed to the safety, security and well-being of residents.
She also reaffirmed her commitment to the development of the ward through practical and community-focused initiatives.
