Strict guidelines for ST scholarship income proof from 2025-26

DIMAPUR

Department of Higher Education has informed that from the academic session 2025–26 onwards, self-declared or affidavit-based income documents will no longer be accepted for the CSS-Post Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Tribe (ST) students.
This was stated in a DIPR report. The department informed that this is in accordance with revised guidelines (dated April 1, 2022) issued by the funding agency. As per the directive, only verified documents with the caption “FAMILY INCOME CERTIFICATE” will be accepted.
The department cautioned that failure to comply with this requirement will lead to rejection of scholarship applications. Detailed instructions and the official notification (No. HTE/MISC/SCHO/1-150/2019/1532) dated November 25, 2024, are available on the department’s website: www.highereducation.nagaland.gov.in.
The department urged students and guardians to take note of the updated requirement and make necessary arrangements accordingly.
