Strictly scrutinise birth & death registration, says DC Zunheboto

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali Friday has called for strict scrutinization of birth and death registration before issuing the certificates.
According to a DIPR report, DC Zunheboto, who is also the district chief registrar of births and deaths Zunheboto, said this while launching the online registration of births and deaths service at the launching programme held at Conference Hall of DC Zunheboto office.
Expressing happiness that Zunheboto was the fourth district to launch the service, Mali opined that strict scrutiny should be done for issuing the certificates. The DC also asked the department to properly check and verify the documents before uploading.
Earlier, in a welcome address, DESO and district registrar of births and deaths, Zunheboto, K Rhonbemo Kithan gave a brief overview of civil registration system where births and deaths records are maintained. With the launch of online registration services, he said the public could apply for certificates at the comfort of their homes and asked them to log in to https://crsorgi.gov.in to avail the services.
Kithan also mentioned that Zunheboto has become the 4th district in Nagaland, after Kohima, Dimapur and Peren, to launch the online service, and added that it was made possible with the help of department of information technology & communication.
