Phusachodümi Students’ Union (PSU), Khezhakeno Students’ Union (KSU) and Middle Khomi Students’ Union (MKSU) held their respective general sessions. PSU: The 71st general session of PSU was held at Dzüyi Cezu, Phusachodu village on December 28 with advisor of CAWD & Taxes, Küdecho Khamo as the special guest.

Khamo in his address stressed on the societal role of students and encouraged them to contribute to society, emphasizing the collective impact of a morally upright community. Khamo praised achievers like Vekhosa Chakhesang, who joined the Indian Police Service, and discussed the competitive nature of the modern world. Advocating for career commitment and excellence, he underscored the importance of hard work, decision-making, determination, and perseverance.
Highlighting the significance of willpower (“to” in Chokri), Khamo emphasized the role of a strong mindset in life success.
The presidential address by PSU president Shenieta Cürhah commended students completing the academic year, urging parents to focus on academics rather than politics. Rev. Vevotso Theluo blessed the session, welcome address by VCC Chairman Vehüpa Rose and a folk tune by Phusachodümi youth society. The event showcased a blend of encouragement, recognition, and cultural elements.
KSU: Khezhakeno Students’ Union (KSU) held its 65th general session at Khezhakeno Village under Phek district with Dr. Neisatuo Mero MLA as the guest speaker on the theme “Empowering Tomorrow’s Leader”.
Mero in his speech, shared the importance of time, noting that life was short and precious, therefore everyone needed to earnestly prepare and prioritize life. He said one should not regret time for it cannot be bought, rewind or fast forwarded. He urged the students and youths to have virtues in life including fear of God, hard work, discipline and punctuality.
He concluded his speech with a challenge to the students to give their best in the competitive world and succeed in their goals.
Guest of honor, secretariat assistant, NSS Kote Koza emphasized on the theme, “Empowering Tomorrow’s Leader”. He stressed on the importance of empowering the students depending on the education they get, the training they receive and the values they were taught.
In his presidential address, Pfutsudulo Meche extended congratulations to top achievers, stressing the growth and development for the younger generations and hope for unity among the young and old for a better tomorrow.
During the session, late Razouko Ngone Memorial Award was conferred to Miss N. Menelo-o for highest aggregate in HSLC Examination from Government High School, Khezhakeno. “Success Story” was delivered by Miss Kodotso-o Koza, HSSLC Top 5.
During the informal session, Miss Phek 2023 Kevengo-o Koza as special guest spoke of her pageantry journey while Muluvieo Koza was crowned Miss KSU (2nd edition). Other highlights included performance by ZT Slingshot and Mhaletuonuo Keditsu
MKSU: The 62nd general session of MKSU was held on the theme “Beyond Boundaries: Crafting a vision for tomorrow”, on December 28 and 29 at Middle Khomi village Community Hall. During the inaugural session, VCC Middle Khomi, Ciekropa Tenenu graced the occasion as session speaker and urged the students to be sincere and work hard to achieve their goal.
Tenenu further encouraged the students to not sit idly after graduation or depend on Government jobs only but must find a way to do something and live independently.
Other items included, presidential address of MKSU by Zhosahu Lala while finance secretary Chakhesang Students’ Union, Povozo Soho, extended greetings chaired by Dy. Speaker MKSU, Veneta Khesoh. The valedictory program was held December 29 and Section Officer, Thüpuduyi Ringa exhorted the gathering.
