Student bodies under Chizami range namely Chizami Students’ Union (CSU), Chizami Town Chakhesang Students’ Union (CTCSU), Sümi Village Students’ Union, Enhulumi (Yoseba/Pfutsemi) Students’ Union and Mesulumi Students’ Union have expressed dismay over the poor cellular network and internet connectivity in the area which has caused immense inconvenience to the student community.
In a press statement, E (Y/P) SU president, Wekutsho Lohe, CSU president, Wetshete Thopi, SVSU president, Kewale Wozah, MSU president, Pretsho Venuh and CTCSU president, Awa Tsuhah pointed out that the poor network and internet services have been causing inconvenience to the people particularly the student community when online classes have become the new norm.
The student bodies said this has badly affected the student online classes and examinations leading to academic loss.
The student bodies have urged concerned authorities and cellular companies namely Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited to immediately rectify the erratic network connection and provide quality coverage 24/7.
