Phek Students’ Union’s 66th session
Dimapur: Phek Students’ Union (PSU) held its 66th session- cum- seminar on December 27 at Phek village under the theme “Shaping the future: Trends and insights for tomorrow.”
Addressing the inaugural session, Chetezo Akami, deputy chairman, Phek Town Council, encouraged students to believe in themselves and grow without distractions.
He emphasized that everyone was uniquely gifted and purposefully sent by Almighty God.
He also inspired students to discover their true potential through perseverance, determination and hard work. During the seminar, Dr. Muluvesalu Keyho, Asst, Prof (Law) RRU, Pasighat Campus, Arunachal Pradesh spoke on the topic “Legal rights and gender sensitization.”
Dr. Kuveluzo Chizo, Medical Officer MBBS, Eden Medical Centre spoke on the topic “Cultivating excellence: The impact of hard work, perseverance and informed choices on your career.”
The seminar was moderated by PSU education &statistics secretary Kuveduvo Vero.
Earlier, PSU president Dzuthoku Venuh delivered welcome address while greetings was shared by Chivozo Soho, chairman Phek Village Council.
The inaugural session was chaired by PSU vice president Raleve Chizo while meritorious award was led by PSU general secretary Sherakho Venuh. Acknowledgement of the dignitaries was led by PSU vice president Muleyi Vero.
RTCSU 26th general session
RTCSU: Razeba Town Chakhesang Students’ Union (RTCSU) held its 26th general session with Er. Daniel Krocha, Deputy Director, Department of Information Technology & Communication as the guest speaker at Razeba local ground on December 27.
Speaking on the theme “Exploring new perspectives; Embracing diverse viewpoints”, Er. Daniel Krocha dwelt on how embracing diversity through humility and courage can propel growth and prosperity.
Citing Israel as a remarkable example of how exploring diverse perspectives and embracing differences can lead to extraordinary growth, he said that, “despite being a small nation with limited natural resources, Israel has risen to become a global leader in innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship.”
He said Razeba Town can also adopt Israel’s approach to prosper and succeed while pointing out that although it is small, “it does not lack in terms of talent and is the only cosmopolitan place in the region.”
Razeba, he asserted can become a vibrant economic ecosystem if they are able to take advantage of what is happening around them.
Razeba Students’ Union 40th general session

RSU: The 40th General Session of the Razeba Students’ Union (RSU) was held on Saturday at Razeba Adhoc Town under the theme, “Empowering Leadership Through Education.”
The program was graced by Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) president, Medovi Rhi, as the special guest.
Addressing the gathering, Rhi highlighted the importance of placing God at the center of all endeavours and honouring parents for their sacrifices in ensuring the education and welfare of their children. He urged students to respect and obey their parents, emphasising that parental blessings are vital for success.
Rhi also urged educators to go beyond classroom teaching and serve as role models, mentioning that schools should focus on developing human resources rather than being limited to employment hubs.
Highlighting the role of education in preserving cultural heritage, he called on students to safeguard traditional knowledge while promoting cultural diversity.
Encouraging unity among the Razeba Range community, Rhi appealed for constructive political engagement and urged people to choose the right leaders. He said political disagreements should not divide the community and emphasized that unity is crucial for social harmony and development.
Deo Movi, president of Razeba Public Organisation, in his exhortation, urged students to strive for excellence in their respective professions. He encouraged aspirants to aim for competitive examinations, noting the lack of representation from the Razeba Range in administrative services like IAS, IPS, EAC, and DSP.
In a solidarity message, Poumai Naga Tsiidoumai Me (PNTM ) GS, J Pangao, emphasised the legacy of unity and brotherhood shared by RSU and PNTM. Chakhesang Students’ Union Speaker, Rakovi, extended greetings on behalf of the union.
The session featured a variety of activities, including a meritorious award presentation, a special performance by Rhasülü Movi, and a folk tune by Tsupfume village.
The program was chaired by Visapa Movi, with Dangao Rume and Vane Zholia as comperes.
Pastor Vizo Pohena of Razeba Baptist Church invoked blessings, while RSU President Paosü Shupao delivered the presidential address.
Rev. Akha Shupao, Pastor of Zhavame Baptist Church, conducted the act of blessing for the newly elected RSU team for 2025-2027. The benediction was pronounced by Rakongaolü Zholia, Catechist of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Zelome.
The newly elected office bearers for the 2025-2027 tenure include president Dangao Rume, vice president Tsuvi Domeh and general secretary Muzhirhii Rhi. The program concluded with closing remarks by RSU treasurer Sarelü Rume.
Kezoma VSU holds general conference

KVSU: Kezoma Village Students’ Union (KVSU) held its 56th annual general conference cum sports meet under the theme “Inclusive Excellence” at Panchayat Hall, Kezoma.
Guest speaker during the event, director, department of Technical Education, Er. Vipulhou Lhoungu, opined that the wealth of a village was not measured by the quantity or money but by its active and vibrant youth and students who will become leaders of tomorrow.
The speaker called to treasure the young talents by guiding them on the right path and nurturing them.
He encouraged the students to be humble and obedient in their endeavour while observing that today the world was surrounded by the advancement of technology, Artificial Intelligence and many evils.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Visapa Yongo, advisor KVSU and presidential address by Süvito Mekro. Chairman Kezoma Village Council, Kikrosa Naki and Southern Angami Students’ Union delivered greetings.
On December 27, during the games and sports meet, Retd. Registrar, Department of Horticulture, Dusahe Noho was the special guest.
Sakraba Students’ Union 59th general session

DIMAPUR: Sakraba Students’ Union (SSU) observed 59th general session on December 27, at Local Ground, Sakraba Town, under the theme “The Art of Thriving: Weaving Life Skills.”
Dr. Pritpal Kaur, Superintendent of Police, Phek, graced the inaugural session as the guest speaker. Narrating her life journey, she spoke of overcoming challenges through determination and perseverance. She emphasized that no job was big or small, and all work holds value and meaning.
She encouraged the students to remain persistent in chasing their dreams, reminding them that with grit and perseverance, they will see their visions materialize. The evening session was graced by Vekhohu Puro, EAC, Phek, who spoke on various types of competitive examinations and shared his personal journey of overcoming challenges in his preparation for competitive exams.
He highlighted the importance of prayer and consistency in achieving success. A panel discussion was also organized, featuring Vekhohu Puro and Chovelu Cukhamu, secretariat assistant, who shared personal experiences and advice related to competitive exam preparation. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Nusa Lohe, president of SSU.
