Students exhibit science projects

Mount Mary Higher Secondary School (MMHSS), Chümoukedima organised a science exhibition on August 31, with special invitee Ngulkholal Kongsai, scientist-A, BHNS India. 

A press release from MMHSS exhibition committee, Lamtinneng Haokip stated that, in his speech, Kongsai encouraged the students to explore more in the field of science as there were many untouched field. 
The students showcased static and working models which were developed by the students and mentored by class 12 Science students. The objective of the exhibition was to ignite the essence of science by involving the students. The exhibition witnessed participation of 42 teams of 82 students which included students from classes 10 to 12 and more than 400 visitors from seven schools in Chümoukedima. The exhibits were evaluated by a panel of distinguished judges drawn from the field of science.
Other dignitaries present in the exhibition were Dr. M Chuba Ao, chairman, C. Teeya, MD, C. Nungshimongla, principal MMHSS, Gavin, headmaster, Gabriel High School, Chümoukedima, Dr. T.K. Jana, principal, MMC, teachers from different sections and parents.
