Students screened on ‘Oral health’

A screening camp for school children on “Oral health” was organised by medical team of Pungro Community Health Centre (CHC) on April 12 at Little Flower School (LFS) and Government Primary School (GPS) Pungro, Kiphire. A press release by the medical department informed that the programme, which was part of the world oral cancer screening month, was led by medical officer of Pungro CHC, Dr.Weri Mero.
During the camp, 997 students were screened on oral cancer and minor dental procedure was also provided to them. Apart from the screening the students were also sensitized on oral health.
