DIMAPUR: The family members of late B.K. Das and late Gangamani Rai Das have instituted the “Sudha Das Academic Excellence Award” to honour a Gorkha/Nepali girl student from Kohima district who secures the highest percentage in the HSLC Examination 2026 conducted by the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE). The award, comprising a plaque and a cash prize of Rs. 50,000, will be presented to the girl student topping the HSLC examination from schools under Kohima district jurisdiction. Eligibility criteria specify that the student must belong to the Gorkha community, irrespective of residential status, and should have appeared for the examination from a school located within Kohima district. Selection will be based on the highest overall percentage calculated from all six subjects. Girl students securing 80% and above (aggregate of six subjects) are requested to submit a copy of their mark sheet along with contact details to meghrajlama@gmail.com or WhatsApp at 9612001207.
