Advisor for School Education, K. T. Sukhalu urged students to achieve optimum results while also stressing that students these days all over Nagaland were finding it difficult to handle the advancement of technology.
According to press release by NDPP Zunheboto region media cell, he was speaking at the RMSA building inauguration at Government Higher Secondary School, Zunheboto on April 19.
Sukhalu, in his speech said that coming back to his old school brought back a lot of memories. He expressed gratitude to the school for moulding him to become what he was today. He also said that things were better in the 60s and 70s, unlike the present deplorable conditions owning to the negligence of the government.
He lamented that it was painful to see the pathetic condition of the school and he hoped that he would be able to knock down the old building and construct a new one. He also said that as a guardian of the constituency, he would be able to do positive things for the school. Urging the students to take life seriously, he hoped that someday students from the school would enter civil service and become IAS officers like him. He also lauded the teachers for being in a noble profession, and stated that their dedicated service to the young students was a service to God.
The inauguration programme was hosted by Mayamon, while welcome address was given by GHSS Zunheboto principal, Emilo Patton. She also submitted a representation to the Advisor on behalf of the school.
Earlier, the inaugural function was dedicated by Rev. Yevito Sümi, senior pastor, SBCZ.
Thanksgiving programme held for K. T. Sukhalu
A thanks giving programme was held for K.T.Sukhalu, Advisor of School Education by 35 A/C Zunheboto at Kawoto village on April 19.
A press release from NDPP Zunheboto region, media cell stated that Sukhalu thanked several hundreds of his supporters and well-wishers who attended the programme. He stated that his commitment, given to the people of 35 A/C Zunheboto before the election, was still unwavering. He reiterated his commitment to towards achieving progress and development in the constituency unflinchingly. He also thanked the people of Zunheboto for the faith bestowed on him, and said that he would honestly and dutifully represent them in the state government.
Rev. Yevito Sumi, senior pastor SBCZ ministered over the thanks giving programme. Arikato Arkha, chief agent to 35 A/C chaired the programme and the vote of thanks was pronounced by Vihoshe Muru, vice president, Sümi Hoho.
