Sümi Aphuyemi Public Organisation (SAPO), Sümi Aphuyemi Kükami Hoho, Sümi Aphuyemi Totimi Hoho, and Sümi Aphuyemi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu, after due consideration and mutual understanding, have jointly issued an appeal to the Sümi Aphuyemi community and the Sümi populace at large, reaffirming their commitment to host Sümi Ahuna 2025 at Pughoboto.
The organisations stated that the decision to host the event reflects the collective will and privilege of the Sümi Aphuyemi people, aimed at fostering goodwill, unity, and mutual understanding within the Sümi community. The initiative also aligns with the guiding principles of the Sümi Hoho, which continues to uphold the aspirations of the Sümi people and strengthen ties with the Angami community.
The event is being coordinated through all Sümi Aphuyemi frontal organisations, with preparations underway in close collaboration with recognised bodies.
The civil society organisations of Sümi Aphuyemi urged every member of the community to uphold peace, dignity, and unity, and to extend full cooperation for the successful observance of the festival.
The organisations reassured the Sümi community of their readiness and collective strength to host the event with honour and responsibility. They expressed hope that the occasion would renew the spirit of brotherhood and shared purpose among the Sümi people.
