Sumi bodies back demand of 14 tribes of Nagaland

Sumi Hoho and its frontal organizations Wednesday resolved to fully endorse the demand of the 14 tribes of Nagaland for early solution to the vexed Naga issue.

This was among the 3-point resolution passed during the consultative meeting held at Lhomithi Colony Council Hall, which was also attended by senior Sumi leaders. 

The signatories presidents of– Sumi Hoho, Hekhushe Shikhu; Western Sumi Hoho, Dr. Kakheto Zhimomi; Sumi Kukami Hoho, Kashito Yepthomi; Sumi Totimi Hoho, Kheholi Assumi and Sumi Kiphimi Kuqhakhu, Hutoshe Kits resolved to support in solidarity to the political arrangements for Nagas living in states other than Nagaland state.

The house, while urging the government of India to sign the Agreement at the earliest and within a stipulated time frame, appealed to all Naga political groups to join hands together for a comprehensive solution.
