Sumi community Kushiabill clarifies

Drawing attention to a news publication by “so called Sumi community”, the Sumi residents of Kushiabill village has clarified that Sumi community Kushiabill village was formed “more than 20 years back”.  In a press release, information secretary, Sumi community Kushiabill village Dimapur, Hokiye Sumi claimed that in the beginning of 2015, Akto Achumi was unanimously elected as the chairman by the  Sumi community general meeting of Kushiabill village. 
Therefore, the Sumi community of Kushiabill village headed by Kuhovi Chishi as its president was “virtually non-existent and has no official public recognition”. “In view of the above the Sumi community of Kushiabill village headed by Akato Achumi as the chairman is genuine and official for all purposes”, the release added.
