Summary Revision kicked off at Mon on October 1 with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mon W. Honje Konyak by handing over special summary revision 2016 draft roll publication to political parties and NGOs of the district at DC’s conference hall.
Speaking at the program Honje urged upon the gathering to transform the old system and change the mindset of the people to achieve clean e-roll. Stating that e-roll was like a holy book for politicians he called upon the political parties to join hands and assist BLOs and supervisors to clean e-roll for clean election. He added that clean election begins with clean e-roll
DC also said that the names of the electoral roll who will decide the future leaders of the district were listed in the draft e-roll. He also appealed the leaders of NGOs, Churches, political leaders and party workers to join hands together and convey a strong message to the mass to have a genuine e-roll to elect genuine leaders for the district.
He further informed that it was high time for the leaders of church and NGOs to realize the past mistakes and take the matter seriously and help to complete the exercise in line with Christian principles.
AEO, Mon Akheto Shohe gave a brief presentation on summary revision. The program was chaired by ADC & ERO M.A. Shihab IAS, invocation prayer was said district chaplain Rev. J. Tenwang while vote of thanks was proposed by UDA E-branch W. Winsha.
