WOKHA, SEP 22 (NPN): Shortage of teachers and instructors remains a major concern at Sungro Government Higher Secondary School, which continues to struggle in managing academic and co curricular activities due to manpower gaps.
The issue was raised during an interaction held on September 22 between Deputy Commissioner Wokha K. Mhathung Tsanglao, Senior SDEO Wokha Nchumbemo Jami, officials of Mission Shakti, and teachers and students of the school.
School principal R. Mhonlumi Yanthan informed that the institution had recently received 20 sets of furniture under Samagra Shiksha on September 21, following years of requests from the school, civil society organisations and the government. She expressed gratitude to the department for the support but reiterated the continuing shortage of teachers and instructors, which she said made it difficult for the school to function smoothly. She urged officials to take up the matter with the concerned authorities and facilitate the provision of required staff.
Encouraging the gathering, Senior SDEO Jami called upon teachers and students to work hard, remain committed, and strive for better academic results to improve the overall performance of the school.
Deputy Commissioner Tsanglao also urged teachers and students to give their best despite existing challenges, encouraging students to remain optimistic, dream big and stay focused on their studies. He assured that the grievances raised during the interaction would be taken up with the concerned authorities and that efforts would be made to address the issues highlighted by the school.
