Supongmeren calls for judicious execution of CSS in Phek DISHA meet

The District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) for Phek District held its monthly review meeting on July 15 at the DC Conference Hall in the presence of Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) and chairperson of DISHA Phek, S. Supongmeren Jamir.
Addressing the gathering, Jamir emphasized the importance of transparent and judicious implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes to maximize their impact on local communities. He urged officials to ensure that projects and welfare initiatives align with their intended purpose and benefit the grassroots population. Jamir also highlighted the need for greater awareness among citizens regarding various government welfare schemes in order to promote inclusive development.
The meeting featured departmental updates and presentations from: BDO Phek, Imlisanen Aier on the progress of PMAY-G (Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana–Gramin); Executive Engineer PHED, Er. Narisen Y. Jami on Jal Jeevan Mission; and District Civil Supply Officer, Neisazo Domeh on the National Food Security Act.
Following the review, Jamir visited the construction site of the new Government Higher Secondary School building in Phek, which includes boys’ and girls’ hostels. The infrastructure is being developed under the “Nagaland Education Project–The Lighthouse (NECTAR)” with World Bank funding. He called for strict adherence to quality standards and completion within the designated 11-month timeline. The programme commenced with a welcome address by DC Rhosietho Nguori and concluded with a vote of thanks from project director DRDA Phek, Zhoi Lohe.
