Supongmeren Jamir meets Amit Shah, raises Naga issue

Supongmeren Jamir, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his office on March 25.
During the meeting, the two leaders held discussions on the need for an early and inclusive political settlement to the long-pending Naga political issue. The deliberations focused on the aspirations and sentiments of the Naga people and stressed the importance of achieving a peaceful and honourable solution.
Jamir also raised concerns regarding the Free Movement Regime (FMR), urging the Ministry of Home Affairs to take into account the views and demands of the Naga people, particularly those residing in border areas of Nagaland.
Issues related to the development and upgradation of village guards were also discussed during the meeting. The MP expressed hope for constructive action and reaffirmed his commitment to continue advocating for the rights and welfare of the Naga people.
