Supply Colony Dimapur bans pig rearing

Supply Colony Council (SCC), Dimapur has announced a total ban on pig rearing within the colony’s vicinity. A press release issued by the SCC chairman Vikheto Chisho informed that the decision was made during the 4th executive council meeting, aims to curb the spread of diseases and ensure a hygienic environment.

Effective from January 1, 2024, the order warned defaulters of strict penalties. Additionally, residents are urged to refrain from washing vehicles on roads and littering, with the council emphasizing vigilant monitoring and action against offenders.
