Election department has informed that an online application, “Suvidha” App –– single window clearance for all types of permissions related to campaigning –– was available for candidates and political parties to apply online for different permissions during election campaign.
In a press release, chief electoral officer (CEO) Nagaland, Abhijit Sinha, informed that “Suvidha” App provides facilities for applying, processing, granting and monitoring permissions.
Candidates and political parties can seek permission: to hold meeting and loud speaker, open temporary party office, vehicle permit, permit to take out procession and loud speaker, permit for street corner meeting and loud speaker, helicopter and helipad, permit for construction of rostrum/barricade and vehicle permit (intra district). CEO pointed out that the permissions for all the above were mandatory.
