SVC adopts three-point resolution

Sovima Village Council (SVC) has adopted three-point resolution to be implemented within its jurisdiction.

In a press release, SVC stated that the council has resolved that natural rainwater outlets/ drains in the jurisdiction of the village shall not be blocked/ filled up/ occupied by any person without alternative arrangements by the property owners so as to prevent water logging. 

The council warned that it would impose penalties it deems fit and take necessary action to clear the blockages.

SVC has also imposed complete ban on hunting and trapping of wildlife within its jurisdiction and has strictly prohibited free-range rearing of cattle/ goats within its jurisdiction.
