SVC, NSCN/GPRN (Khango) reconcile

The Sangtamtilla Village Council (SVC) and NSCN/GPRN (Khango) ato kilonser organised a “Prayer Program” on May 7, 2024 in the light of the spirit of forgiveness and brotherhood, and in comprehending the necessity to coexist in harmony and mutual co-operation.

In a joint statement by NSCN/GPRN ato kilonser’s personal secretary H Labo, SVC chairman Asemba Mongzar and head GB of Sangtamtilla village Litingse, stated that the programme was initiated to rekindle the cordial relation that was fractured due to the unfortunate skirmish that erupted at Sangtamtilla village in 2018, which involved the GPRN/NSCN(U) under the tutelage of NSCN/GPRN ato kilonser, who was then the kilonser of GPRN/NSCN (U).

In pursuance of the sensible approach of “forgive and forget” to foster the cordial relationship between the two entities, and in the larger interest of the Nagas for the political future, both the parties reconciled through a prayer.

Moreover, both sides promised to work cohesively to share the yoke of the Naga national cause, and appealed to all the Nagas in general to be catalyst in achieving the acceptable solution to the Naga political issue by working in unison.
