SVC warns against paying tax

In view of the resolution adopted by Chumoukedima Circle Chakhro Public Organisation on August 24 at the meeting held at Urra Village, Sovima village council (SVC) has informed business establishments or individuals within the jurisdiction of Sovima village not to pay “tax” to any Naga underground factions unless the various groups unite and Naga people decide otherwise.

In a press release, SVC chairman Sebastian Zumvu informed that this was in tune with the decision taken up by the Naga public on October 31, 2013 in the matter of “one government, one tax”.

SVC warned those contravening its circular would be doing so at their own risk.
