SVEEP campaign on clean election in Longleng

SVEEP campaign on “clean election” under Longleng district was held in hukphang village and Bhummnyu village on April 27 and NEILIT, Yingli College Campus and GHSS, Longleng on April 28 with K. Limei Phom, district Icon for Longleng district as the main speaker.
Limei spoke on electoral roll cleansing by deleting bogus voters, dead voters and proxy voters. She advised the participants especially the young voters to franchise one’s vote to a good and capable leader for the benefit of all who would bring all round development in the State instead of selling their vote. She also encouraged all those who attained the age of 18 years and above to get enrolled in the electoral roll so to become a voter and an EPIC Card holder. Stating that “Right to Vote” was a Constitutional Right of everyone which gives freedom to exercise one’s vote she requested the participants to share and spread this information.
At the village level campaign assistant election officer Renben Mozhui chaired the programme who also delivered the welcome address and at the College/Institute level the programme was chaired by campus administrator C. Lenke Phom and welcome address was delivered campus administrator Longshen A Phom.
In the concluding programme election staff John P. Bukung Keikung thanked all the participants for their co-operation towards clean election campaign sponsored by CEO.
