SVSU donates competitive exam materials to ZPC

The Seyochung Village Students’ Union (SVSU) has extended a significant educational gesture by donating NPSC and NSSB study materials to the library of Zisaji Presidency College, Kiphire, on October 17. The initiative aims to bolster academic resources and support students preparing for competitive examinations.
In a press release issued by SVSU informed that during the event, SVSU president Longtili C. Sangtam announced that the union will sponsor 85% of the course fees for NPSC and NSSB aspirants from the college who wish to pursue coaching in Kohima or Dimapur. The sponsorship is intended to encourage students from Kiphire to pursue careers in public service and enhance their competitiveness.
Addressing the gathering, the vice principal of Zisaji Presidency College lauded the Union’s generous contribution and emphasized the need for Commerce, Technical and Market-oriented courses in the district. He noted that such programmes are essential to equip students with practical knowledge and employable skills. College Librarian K. Chiyuh expressed heartfelt gratitude to SVSU, assuring that the donated materials would be properly catalogued and made accessible to students, faculty and staff to support learning and research.
The union also acknowledged the continued support of Eduversity Institute, the lead partner for the Triennale Session 2025, for their guidance and provision of study materials. SVSU credited the partnership with enhancing access to quality educational resources for students in the region. Both the college community and the Union described the initiative as a meaningful step toward educational advancement, community development, and youth empowerment in Kiphire district.
