Based on complaints from Anganwadi workers, helpers and the general public for nonpayment of honorarium on time, the Social Welfare Department (SWD) has issued a clarification.
In a press note, Social Welfare Department director, T. Merangtsungba Aier said that DBT mode for payment for honorariums had been initiated since January 1, 2017, wherein workers and helpers are required to submit Aadhaar linked bank account numbers and the IFSC code, otherwise the department is unable to transfer the amounts into the recipients’ accounts.
The clarification listed the following lapses detected in submission of details: i) ICDS functionaries not submitting their Aadhaar linked bank details on time; ii) mobile numbers submitted without bank details; iii) multiple recipients sharing one account; iv) wrong account nos.; v) account nos. of banks not operating in Nagaland; vi) dormant bank accounts; vii) contradictory personal, Aadhaar and bank details.
