SXPK camp celebrates Epiphany

St Xavier Parish Kidima (SXPK) diocese of Kohima organised a two-day Leadership and Religion Camp and Epiphany celebrations (the manifestation of Christ to the Magi) under the theme “Avoid every kind of evil” (I Thessalonians 5:22), with Reverend Father Rajesh Lobo, Eden Garden-&-Children’s Home, Khuzama, as main celebrant, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (GSCC) Kezo town from January 5 to 6.

A press release by SXPK media cell stated that, Rev. Fr. Rajesh Lobo explained the meaning of Epiphany as the concluding ceremony of Advent. The priest exhorted the faithful people to ask for God’s pardon and forgiveness and to become worthy to celebrate the Eucharist.

Catholic members from all the villages of Kidima parish joined the spiritual and leadership training.

(Epiphany is celebrated 12 days after Christmas on January 6, or January 19 for some Orthodox Churches who celebrate Christmas on January 7.)
