The Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) will host “The White House Founders Museum – The Road to Liberty” exhibition, presented by the American Center, Kolkata, to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of American Independence.
The exhibition, described as a landmark cultural showcase, offers visitors a rare opportunity to explore the remarkable journey that shaped the United States and the enduring ideals of liberty, democracy and nation-building.
The inauguration will be held on July 21 at 3:30 PM at RCEMPA, Jotsoma, Kohima, with advisor to the Chief Minister of Nagaland and chairman of IDAN, Abu Metha, as the chief guest. The exhibition will remain open to the public from July 22 to 25, between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM at the same venue.
TaFMA chairman Theja Meru described the exhibition as a significant cultural and educational initiative, providing the people of Nagaland with a unique opportunity to experience an important chapter of world history. He emphasised that the showcase would foster greater appreciation for universal values of freedom, democracy and international friendship.
Meru extended a warm invitation to students, educators, history enthusiasts and the general public to attend, expressing confidence that the exhibition would serve as a meaningful platform for learning, cultural exchange and reflection. He noted that the event is expected to attract visitors from across the state, making it an iconic, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
