Tsurongto Area GBs’ Union (TAGBU), comprising of Anatongre, Nutsu, Maihpok, and Sukiur ‘A’ and ‘B’ villages, held its first general session on January 22 with Tikhir Tribal Council interim chairman, P. Timong as special guest.
A press release by TAGBU informed that the session was hosted by GBs of Maihpok Village. The special guest appreciated the area GBs for their positive response in forming the common area GBs platform. With the formation of the union, he hoped that the area would progress along with the rest of the state.
The program was chaired by TAGBU secretary, GB Akhuhba, welcome address by TAGBU president, GB K. Kiusthong and short speeches by Anatongre Village head GB, S. Yansumong, Sukiur ‘A’ Village head GB, Tsintsumong, and Maihpok Village head GB, Y. Sumongthong.
