Talks making a positive progress: Tuccu

NSCN (I-M) Yaruiwo (president) Q Tuccu told the Tatar Hoho Winter Session, which was held at the Council Headquarters (CHq), Hebron on Wednesday, that the “Indo-Naga” political negotiation was making a positive progress.

In his presidential address at the Tatar Hoho Winter Session, Tuccu expressed belief that a political settlement that was honourable and acceptable to both the parties would be arrived at the earliest through sincerity and political commitment.

According to a statement issued by MIP, Q Tuccu urged the members to stand firm without losing sight of the final goal that lay ahead. 

MIP said Tuccu also acknowledged the contribution of all Nagas that includes Church organizations, civil society organizations, student organizations and rank and file of NSCN who “unceasingly prayed” for the success of the “Indo-Naga” political talk that was at a crucial stage and finally leading to the breakthrough and understanding that arrived at on October 31, 2019 in the talks at New Delhi.

Asserting that reconciliation and unity was a matter of necessity, the Yaruiwo, however, said that it should be based on national principle. “NSCN is of the stand that the Framework Agreement is not only the basis of solution to the longdrawn Indo-Naga political problem but also the uniting point for all the Nagas,” Tuccu said.

The Yaruiwo also drew the attention of the house that NSCN was passing through a crucial period that demanded members to be cautious to help smooth governance and administration that would go to strengthen the security strategy and financial stability.

In this speech, Q Tuccu paid “revolutionary salute” to all the Naga martyrs and their widowed wives and orphaned children.  

He expressed his concern and prayed that God grant them divine providence to sustain their lives, MIP stated.
